The Myth Of The 10,000-Hour Rule
In this episode I want to share with you a perspective I had on a book by Malcolm Gladwell called Outliers about the 10,000 hour rule. If you’re not familiar with this, the concept is that in order to master a skill or succeed in any endeavor in life, you have to put in 10,000 hours of work.
However, in order to succeed, you need to be in the right environment. Environment will always trump willpower. And that includes the people you surround yourself with.
While it is important to put in the work, the environment in which you immerse yourself is going to help unlock the things your really want to achieve.
In This Episode I discuss:
01:00 – 07:00 -Introducing Today’s Topic
07:00 – 15:37 – Being In The Right Environment For Success
15:37 – 17:21 – The Wrap Up With Yuri

What You Missed
In our last episode, I asked the following question: Are You Obsessed With Your Success?
In this episode I want to raise your awareness and what you need to ask yourself to become obsessed with whatever it is you want to achieve. Whatever you want to get better at, you have to be obsessed with getting better.
If you’re looking to achieve success, you have to be real and honest with yourself if you’re doing all that you can to achieve that success. Are you obsessed and doing whatever it takes to get there?
You need to put in the work. You cannot delegate your success to someone else.
Give this episode a listen. I would love to get your comments and feedback on this topic.
