10 Core Tenets Of A Profitable Practice (Part 1)
If you’re a practice owner, a physical therapist, chiropractor, naturopathic doctor, etc., and have a practice that’s brick and mortar, online or both, in the next series of episodes, I’m going to walk you through 10 core tenants that will help you succeed in business.
In today’s episode, I’m going to walk you through the first two.
1. You Are Responsible For Your Business
You need to take responsibility/control of your destiny and not become a victim to external forces, the things you can’t control, such as the current COVID-19 Pandemic for example. Which is why it’s important to focus on things you can control.
2. The Letters Behind Your Name Don’t Entitle You To A Successful Practice
Just because you have your degree and accreditations, you open your practice, doesn’t mean that all of a sudden people come flocking through your doors.
All that means is that you’ve mastered the technical expertise piece of the puzzle. The second piece of the puzzle you need to master is shifting your mindset from being a practitioner to a business owner.
You need to develop the skill set of being a business owner and investor in your own company and not just a practitioner who’se got a “job” essentially trading time for money.
You’ll want to grab a pen and paper, take notes and really give some thought to the things I’m sharing with you.

What You Missed
In our last episode we talked about The ONE Thing That Will Save Your Business (From One Of The World’s Wealthiest Men).
The man I refer to is Ray Dalio. One of my favorite books, Principles, is written by him. It’s a book that sits on my night table and have read it several times. Ray Dalio is the founder of Bridgewater Associates which is one of the top investment firms in the world. He’s also one of the top 100 wealthiest men on the planet.
He looks at the world based on principles and algorithms based on data to make decisions.
In a recent interview, he talks about four major forces that affect the world economy. One of the ones he talks about is the long-term debt cycle.
In a pre-COVID world and now within the our current COVID-19 reality, there is one thing that saves the day no matter how bad times get and I talk about what that is in this episode.
Listen to this episode as I explain how you can absolutely, one hundred percent serve your clients in what has now become our new normal and come out of this ahead of the pack.
