Do you have the right money mindset that’ll allow you to attract money?

The truth is that chasing your revenue goals is always going to be scary but envisioning success and getting rid of financial anxiety will help you move away from lack and toward abundance. In today’s video, I talk about how to shift from scarcity to abundance as a healthcare entrepreneur through some money mindset motivation and insights.

I recently spoke with a client who wanted to improve her conversion rate and get better at turning prospects into clients. However, when I asked about her ad spend and revenue goals compared to where her numbers are at now, I realized that she was afraid of succeeding. She was feeling anxious about the additional amount she’d have to spend on ads, and whether her business can take in additional traffic. Will it pay off?

And it’s not uncommon for health entrepreneurs to have a fearful mindset about spending money. It often comes from a place of lack. However, the truth is that when you don’t spend money, you can’t make more.

In order to triumph over monetary or financial anxiety, you must begin to shift from lack to abundance. One of the ways you can do that is to approach your money mindset from a “filled-cup” perspective.

As health entrepreneurs, envisioning success is essential. We must be able to visualize achieving our revenue goals and the level of success we want, so that we can overcome financial anxiety.

A lot of health entrepreneurs build businesses that end up becoming golden handcuffs. In other words, they grow their practice to a point where they create slavery for themselves in the long run. Having a fully booked healthcare practice is NOTHING to be proud of. On the contrary, a full practice is an indication that you don’t know how to deliver great care to more people without trading time for money.

The worst part about it is that you’ll lose drive and motivation.

If you don’t have drive, you hamper your ability to stay in the game long enough. When that happens, your ability to succeed will decrease. In the healthcare business, success is determined by how long you stay in the game, but how do you stay in the game if you lose motivation, don’t want to get up every morning, and don’t show up for your business?

What I want to do is to help health entrepreneurs build businesses while maintaining motivation that keeps them from being enslaved by their own practice.

If you’re like me and you like to get things going quickly, you might not usually like delving into too much details. You’d just want to go ahead, get moving, start executing and take action, and then just course-correct along the way. And while I firmly believe that this is still valid, it’s only valid TO A POINT.

From personal experience, I’ve spent, cumulatively, many years correcting mistakes from improper thinking and executions which were done too fast. This brings to light the importance of business planning for entrepreneurs.

Today, I talk about the 4-part framework that’s been the foundation of the Focus Planner, which is essentially how I run my life and keep myself productive. The same has worked as an effective strategic planning tool for a lot of our clients.

The first part you need to focus on is your vision. This is a huge people attractor, both for clients and new hires. Plus, everything else flows from it. There’s a big difference between just doing things versus doing things in the RIGHT direction. Your vision will help you make sure you’re doing what matters.

In today’s video, I discuss how to make your business stand out from others by extracting your “magic”. Your proprietary process is a key point for business differentiation that’ll help you in growing your business and attracting new clients. And so today, I share how you can think through and articulate the “how” of what you do to make your business stand out.

Before you decide on your health coaching model, you’ll have to know the answer to this: Do you want to make more money or do you want to help more clients?

It’s important to distinguish between the two and identify your health coaching business goals because if you want to help more clients, then you’re probably going to have to charge a lot less. On the other hand, if you charge more, you can decide to take in less but higher ticket clients, and still make the same (if not more) money.

Let’s say you want to make $10,000 a month. That’s going to be 100 clients paying you $100 each. Or, that could also be 2 clients paying you $5,000 each. Which appeals more to you?

When deciding on your coaching model, you have to keep in mind your health coaching business goals, and the amount of work you want and CAN put in. If it’s your goal to enroll more clients, it’s probably going to be less high-touch and in the form of a membership or a course. The work will pour into trying to generate traffic that’s large enough to even get those 100 clients, in our example.

Charging a premium price, the nature of your coaching model is definitely going to change. Two clients paying $5,000 is going to come out of 5 or 6 conversations over the phone — nowhere near the traffic you’ll need to produce if you want 100 clients for your health coaching business.

Now, if it’s at the top of your business goals to have 100 clients paying $5,000 each, let’s talk. Because that’s a different ball game altogether. And that’s the level that we’re playing at. In this case, you’re definitely NOT going to be doing all of the coaching yourself. You’re going to have to recruit some coaches into your team — which is also a different challenge to take on.

So what goals do you have for your health coaching business? Which model is more worth your time and resources to pursue? Be deliberate about choosing your health coaching model. Your answer will ultimately determine which direction you’re bound to go, and how profitable you can become.
