The Unpopular Truth: Exactly How To Get Coaching Clients

Do you have a client attraction and health marketing strategy in place for your health coaching business?

The number one question I get asked by all of my clients is, “How do I get coaching clients?” And it’s a very relevant question. As a health professional, it’s natural for you to want to make a difference in your clients’ lives. And it’s also natural to want to have as many clients as possible to sustain your business and your lifestyle.

To get more clients, you need to get in front of more people and build your ideal audience, but you also need to figure out how to convert your audience into paying clients.

Many health coaching business owners go the social media route to grow an audience. One of our clients with a strong Instagram following found that she had to post more often and be manually present on her social media to get more clients. While posting on social media costs her nothing theoretically, she pays in time.

And if you’re someone who values your time, you’ll understand that money is cheap, and time is expensive. There are two ways to get coaching clients online as a health practitioner.

Keep watching to learn what they are, and how you can use health marketing strategies to help with client attraction, so you can expand your current base as an online health coaching business owner.

Wouldn’t you just love to clone yourself so you don’t have to do everything yourself AND also replicate the work you do in your business operations?

But that’s just not physically possible. So as a health business leader or owner, you’ll have to do more delegating in business. In today’s video, I show you how better delegating tasks as part of your business SOPs can free up some time for you as a health business leader.

I’m passionate about helping health professionals get clients and scale their online health businesses. Over the years, I’ve learned that to grow and scale your business, you need to train your staff and health coaches to function independently, so you don’t have to be the only resource in the business. You need to be delegating tasks more in your business operations.

So how can you start delegating in business and train your coaches to better train your clients on how to do sales calls and other critical business activities? The thing about business is that it is a collection of systems meant to produce a profit in the service of other people.

Your business is NOT a job. Yes, you can have different jobs that serve different functions within the business, but essentially, the sum of the various parts is what makes the business. The minute you start treating your business like a job, you won’t be able to remove yourself from every area of the business’s functions, which means your staff or coaches can’t grow further.

Delegating in business is essential if you want to focus on business strategy while also sustaining a healthy and holistic lifestyle. Watch the video to see how delegating tasks as part of your business SOPs can help you create more sustainable business operations.

Amazon wouldn’t have known which one would be a winning horse of the businesses mentioned above, but they bet anyway. That’s the nature of business. In business, resilience and consistency are vital to being successful and winning.

One of the main reasons why health business owners and entrepreneurs fail to build wealth is that they have the wrong money mindset. In this video, I go over the law of money, and how you can use it to help grow your health business.

This is essentially the formula for making more money: The more people you help, the more money you make. And here’s a secondary law: The bigger the problems you solve, the more you get paid.

Just think about Elon Musk and the problems he’s trying to solve. Space flight, e-payment solutions, electric vehicles – is it any wonder why he’s so rich? And then think about the problems a local trainer solves. This was me 20 years ago. While also important, helping someone lose weight is arguably a smaller task than changing humanity’s future.

Along with this law of money, you need to cultivate the right money mindset. It’s one thing to understand that you need to solve problems and help people in your health business. But if you’re uncomfortable with being rich and have problems with the rich, you’ll never build wealth. You’ll never be able to go in the direction of something you despise.

Remember, the more you give, the more that comes back to you. If you put out free content and focus on providing value, eventually the right people will come out of the woodwork.

Until then, you just need to make sure you fill your cup first. Transform lives and charge a premium price for it. If you’re solving a problem that not everybody can, like the law of money states, you should get paid properly for it.

The way to build wealth through your health business can be simple – adopt the right money mindset, and remember that being wealthy and helping others can go hand in hand.

There are 5 common mistakes in business that a lot of online health coaches and business owners make. The best business advice I can give? Make sure you stop doing them yourself.

In this video, I break each one down so you can know exactly what to watch out for.

The number one mistake is debating with trolls on social media. You’ve just got to avoid doing this. Give them zero attention. After all, a response is exactly what they’re looking for.

Another one of the common mistakes in business I see among online health coaches and online business owners is worrying about what other people think. At the end of the day, if someone says something about you when they don’t even know you, that says something about them more than it does about you.

I wouldn’t be giving you the best business advice in this video if I forgot to mention this next one of the common mistakes in business, that is, spending hours and hours creating content. The best use of your time when it comes to content creation has got to be a webinar that can work on your behalf 24/7 for the next years, and not a single piece of content.

I share the last 2 of the 5 common mistakes in business you’ve got to stop doing so your can have better results in your business as an online health coach or practitioner. There are 3 things that not a lot of people talk about when it comes to entrepreneurial success.

After years in the health coaching business and having built multiple 7-figure companies in my 17 years as a health professional, I know that it’s necessary to sacrifice for success. Some might tell you they just got out of bed and made a million dollars but, more often than not, success through failure happens.

In order to scale your health coaching business or practice online, you need to work smarter not harder by building a business that has effective systems. And achieving that level of entrepreneurial success where your business can run smoothly without your micromanagement takes a LOT of hard work. The first thing you need to know is that success is EXTREMELY hard to reach. You have to be willing to sacrifice for success. It takes both effort and time.

Consider this as a parent raising kids, how much hard work and sacrifice does it take? A lot, right? The same goes for “raising” a health coaching business or healthcare practice. People who say they make a million dollars overnight are able to do so not because success comes easy, but because this probably wasn’t their first rodeo.

Sacrifice for success is essential as a health coaching business owner or practitioner. Make sure to watch until the end of this video to learn more about all 3 things people rarely tell you about entrepreneurial success and success through failure.

Can you still win using Facebook Ads for your health coaching business post-iOS 14.5?

In today’s video, I address everyone running iOS 14.5 Facebook ads for their health business and struggling to understand the Facebook ad data coming through Facebook conversions API.

If you’re looking to work around the tracking challenges that came with iOS 14, and to understand server-side tracking and Facebook CAPI, this video is for you.

Here at Healthpreneur, we help health professionals scale their online health businesses. A huge part of scaling a health business is running advertisements online, and an effective, easy way of doing this is through Facebook Ads.

We’ve used Facebook Advertising for a long time, and have proven that it’s an effective way of funneling clients. However, Facebook has changed how it collects information from its users, especially with iOS 14.5.

With more people having the option to opt out of seeing ads, there are fewer leads. With the new evolution of Facebook Ads, there are a few things to consider. For example, you can no longer fully rely on Facebook pixel. Instead, server-side tracking is more effective at giving you the Facebook ad data you need.

If you’re spending a lot of money on Facebook ads, you want to be using Hyros or SegMetrics to do server-side tracking in addition to, or instead of, Facebook conversions API.

Keep watching to see how you can work around tracking challenges for iOS 14.5 Facebook ads, and how you can still win with Facebook Ads for your health coaching business post-iOS 14.5.

When it comes to healthcare marketing on social media, you’ve probably seen claims that Youtube ads beat Facebook ads. Is this really true?

Well, while there’s some truth in these claims, they might not apply to everyone. In this video, I compare Facebook ads vs Youtube ads, and explain why for a lot of online health practitioners, Facebook may be the best choice.

There are 3 things in particular that many people fail to consider when comparing the two platforms for healthcare marketing on social media.

First, in order for a video ad to do well and stand out on a video platform like Youtube, you need to be able to articulate and present your message in such a way that is really impactful. That’s a skill that takes some time to master.

When comparing Facebook ads vs Youtube ads, keep in mind the performance of certain ad formats on each. On Facebook ads, you won’t need a video for your ad to perform well. You just need an image (which has a lower likelihood of going wrong) and a copy. Whereas on Youtube ads, you won’t have any copy to accompany your video ad.

The second thing to consider when doing healthcare marketing on social media is the creative complexity of a video. On Youtube, production quality matters. In order to maintain the viewer’s attention, you’re going to need to employ techniques that most amateurs may not be able to pull off.

I share a third reason why Youtube ads may not always be the best choice for healthcare marketing on social media, which has to do with cost per conversion. Watch this video until the end to learn more as I compare Facebook ads vs Youtube ads, and see for yourself which healthcare marketing platform might be better for your business.

As a health professional running an online health business, do you really need to use a health webinar for marketing?

My take on this? A health webinar for your business is CRUCIAL for health marketing. In today’s video, I discuss exactly why by sharing 4 reasons webinars are relevant in your business.

When I say webinar, I’m referring to a permanent pre-recorded health webinar that visitors of your website can view. This works better than a live webinar which needs extra health marketing efforts and resources to attract attendance. A good webinar is like a documentary telling prospective customers about your business and its offerings.

Having an effective webinar is key to growing your health business to more than 7 figures through online content. I know this because I’ve seen it in my business and in my clientele’s businesses as well. Having a health webinar for marketing is an excellent way to attract more clients because it provides excellent value for your audiences.

Yes, there are plenty of other ways to build and market a successful business. Still, many of them are laborious and complicated, while having a health webinar for marketing offers you the freedom and flexibility you need to do other things.

If you don’t like hard-selling, you have to have a good health marketing strategy, and using a health webinar for marketing is an excellent addition to your overall success.

If you’re thinking about getting into book publishing, then you better have done your book marketing first.

You see, without marketing your book, you wouldn’t have an audience. And without a large audience, your book on health is never going to sell. Then, the whole process is going to turn into a giant headache.

Publishing companies are essentially glorified printers. They’re going to expect you to push your own book. That means that if you don’t have a massive following, don’t expect a large advance…and don’t expect to sell many copies.

Unless you’re willing to do the book marketing that it takes to guarantee that you sell your book on health, then don’t publish it. Book publishing only makes sense if you know you’re going to get a return on all that time and energy you put into the book.

That’s also why I say build your income, then your influence. Turn your $30 book into a $3,000 coaching program. That way you’ll impact more lives AND make more money.

If you want to write a book on health, do it down the road. First, work with clients who are willing to step up and pay you. The more money you make, the more you can invest on building your following and marketing your book.

Later on, when people know and trust you, then you can launch a book.

Without book marketing, book publishing really doesn’t do you much good. Start by building a program that people love, and then you’ll be ready to write a book on health that’ll sell.
