Being in the business of online health entrepreneurship, it’s important to improve your digital presence. And in today’s video, I share 3 digital marketing tips for your online healthcare business, specifically notes on what mistakes you should absolutely avoid on your website.

I see websites as a lens into your healthcare business from a marketing perspective. This means that what you put on your website is what your potential clients will perceive about your health entrepreneurship.

What’s your value proposition? Is it clearly visible on your website landing page? How do you identify your online healthcare business and what you do? If you have a label for what you do, make sure that it’s front and center of your website and digital marketing efforts.

The aim of your website is to increase customer conversion rates, so make sure not to overwhelm your website visitors by putting too many elements that distract them, or give too little information up front. Your call to action should be clear and outright.

Thoughts become things, so how should we better frame our minds as healthcare workers and entrepreneurs?

So many things happen in the world daily, and it’s so easy to develop a negative bias towards the bad instead of seeing the good. That’s how our minds are just hard-wired, but as healthcare workers, we need to look after ourselves. In today’s video, I discuss why it’s of utmost importance that we tend to our minds, and make mental health for healthcare workers a priority.

For a while, I and my family used to live outside the city, which meant we had access to a lot more space than usual. When you have more space, you’re able to use it for recreation, so I decided to start a garden. While I knew it would be a difficult task, I took it head-on. The payoff was amazing, with a beautiful and fruitful garden of fresh produce.

However, as time went on, I realized that maintaining a garden takes a lot more effort than I thought because I was spending a bulk of my time pulling out weeds every so often. I had to deal with things that I didn’t want to see in my garden. Just 2 years after that, I decided to stop gardening and to buy fresh produce instead.

At the time I didn’t know what I was doing, but given the chance I would want a second garden. And the main point of this whole story? If left unattended, most gardens would be overgrown with weeds. Our minds work the same.

We’re hard-wired to have a negative bias, and seek out the pains we have to avoid instead of looking at the brighter side. But we have to remember that thoughts become things.

Our job as healthcare workers is to tend to the garden of our minds to make sure that we pull out the weeds that will keep on distressing us.

If you’ve been having trouble signing on new clients, then you’ll want to hear about the 3 key sales skills that I share in this video. These will help you learn how to increase sales without sounding too “salesy”. Once you learn how to talk to your prospects, selling will follow naturally.

The first thing you should do is to ask more questions. The prospect should be speaking far more than you, about 80% to your 20%.

You also have to go deeper. Why did the prospect call you when they did? You can respond to their answers by saying, “tell me more”, “how so”, or “why”. You see, trust is built not by you speaking, but by you listening.

Another one of the key sales skills is helping the prospect see that the problem is bigger than they think. This is important because the price is never really the true objection. Either their goal is not that important to them, or they don’t think you can help them. Learning how to increase sales involves making the pain more real.

Third, have the prospect continually tell you about why your solution is going to work for them. When describing your program, focus on the outcome but don’t get too deep. And help them to visualize themselves going through the process.

With these three key sales skills under your belt, you’ll convert more sales without feeling like you have to manipulate anyone. If you want to learn how to increase sales, learn to listen and ask questions.

Advertising through social media doesn’t really make sense if you’re trying to grow your health business. Why?

You’ll soon discover that the only good thing about free social media marketing is that it’s, well…FREE. Other than that you’ll see that social media PAID advertising is what moves the needle on these platforms.

See, the algorithms used by social media platforms tend to only reward users who are already with some clout. What I mean is that if you’re a small business without THAT huge of a following just yet and are looking for clients, then chances are you’re not going to be found just by organically posting on Facebook or Instagram.

Next, Facebook is only showing your posts to about 2% of your followers if you’re advertising through social media organically. That means for every thousand followers that you have, only about 20 of them are going to actually see your posts!

And of course, it’s very frustrating to spend a lot of time creating content for your health business that no one sees. You may think that you don’t have much to lose with free social media marketing, but the time you spend creating content will add up. The risk may be low, but so is the pay off.

My suggestion is to start out focusing on one target market, one offer, one program, and one acquisition funnel. At least until you make one million dollars.

I’m not saying to never use social media marketing. Just don’t rely on it as a major source of growth. Realize that when it comes down to it, your chances of growing your business are slim, until you learn how you can properly spend some money on social media paid advertising.

Advertising through social media doesn’t really make sense if you’re trying to grow your health business. Why?

You’ll soon discover that the only good thing about free social media marketing is that it’s, well…FREE. Other than that you’ll see that social media PAID advertising is what moves the needle on these platforms.

See, the algorithms used by social media platforms tend to only reward users who are already with some clout. What I mean is that if you’re a small business without THAT huge of a following just yet and are looking for clients, then chances are you’re not going to be found just by organically posting on Facebook or Instagram.

In today’s video, I show you how selling an eBook or course for $50 or even $100 won’t cut it anymore if you want to achieve any form of financial freedom in your health business. I share why that is, do the math for you, and show you what to do instead.

A lot of health experts and health business owners still think that information sells easily. They write or compile eBooks and courses to sell to customers online, and think that information selling is enough to earn them financial freedom and bring their health business the success they need.

The truth? It definitely WILL NOT!

When it comes to working smarter not harder, simply selling an eBook or course isn’t the winning formula. Think of it this way, when you put your heart and soul into creating an information product like an eBook or a course, you need to know that you have a massive guaranteed market ready to buy it. If that’s not the case, then it’s probably a waste of time.

To earn your desired revenue, you need to assess whether the course or the book you’re selling will be able to sell enough units to reach your goal revenue. Another thing to consider is how much you’ll need to spend on ads to drive that traffic that’ll get you that much number of sales. And if it doesn’t look right, then you might want to rethink if selling an eBook or course is as good an idea as you initially thought it was.
